In what may be good news for Cartersville, a Florida investment company has purchased the residential portion of Carter Grove, a mixed-use development south of the Etowah River.
Hometown Headlines reports “an agressive real estate purchaser in the hottest markets in the Southeast” bought the property for $7.5 million and could either finish developing, allow independent developers to build or hold on to the property.
Rome News-Tribune confirmed Avanti Investment Group acquired 2,475 acres earmarked for 2,773 single-family homes. The buy did not include an adjacent golf course, which reports was purchased in March at a foreclosure auction by Bank of the Ozarks.
