The entire Chisholm Trail area in Old Town Round Rock has many amazing historic sites. There is a beautiful old Aermotor Windmill Company windmill on this site. The old Post Office building was a mercantile store in recent history as well as years ago.

Round Rock Texas has a lot of history. Originally, Round Rock was called Brushy, after the Brushy Creek. The Chisholm Trail went right through Round Rock crossing the Brushy Creek. The outlaw Sam Bass met his demise in Round Rock at the hands of the Texas Rangers and is buried in the Round Rock Cemetery just west of Interstate 35 on Sam Bass Road.
